What about....???

What about..... this file I keep on my computer?  It is a file I have labeled "daily inspirations", it has quotes and sayings that I started keeping way back in 2000.  I was never sure why I kept these but I have decided that I'm gonna share.  I'll post them on days when my creative writing dial doesn't turn up all the way to high.

Some of these will be funny, some insightful, others will be motivating while some will bring tears to your eyes.  I will take them from the file as they are - in no special order.

So with that...........

What about....recylcing

I recyle.  I think.

Today I took a little trip to "the dump", which I'm now told is actually "the transfer station", to return my glass, tin, plastics etc......  and either I don't recyle enough or nobody really recyles.    You see, usually, I'm not the one that takes all this stuff   - someone else is always taking it for me.  But today, in my quest for independence and self worth, I decided I would take my own "stuff".  Everything was packed into my car - ever so carefully seperated -  I pulled up, and lo' and behold,  NO SIGNS - ANYWHERE!   I had to ask for help - ask for help at "the dump" now there's something to think about.    There's a barrel here for this and a barrel there for that, then completely across the parking lot are dumpsters - again, nothing labeled!   After peaking thru the barrels and dumpsters, being the brightest bulb in the the box, I thought I had it all figured out - but after pondering this all the way home  - what the heak really happens to "my stuff".
Do I really want to know?  Am I wasting my time rinsing and seperating everything?

So, after much thought, I have decided I will continue my recycling quest.  I will rinse, seperate and return anything I can and do MY best to "save the world one tin can at a time".  I want my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to know that I am doing everything I can to make their world a better place.  Do you?  Should you?  Can you?   Recycle.

I recycle.  I'm sure.

What about....NASCAR

Does anyone know what it stands for?  And you can't google it, quick!!!!

Didn't think so....

So here's what I think

Not Able to Speed Carefully Around Rabbits

Nothing About Sports Cars Are Ridiculous

Not Anybody Seems Committed At Racing  (yeah right, have you seen these NASCAR fans???)

Needlessly Always Seemly Careeming Around Ractracks!

Enough??

Just so you know, I am a fan, new, but a fan.  But my fanship needs explaining -

Every Sunday night a group of "fans" meet at our house.  Now that racing has begun, so has the betting.  Yup, that's right, we all put a dollar  in the kitty (Anyone know why they call it a kitty and not a doggy?? me either.)  and choose who we think will win the race the following week.  As I sit back and listen to the chatter of who runs good on this track, and who won on this track last year, who got a new engine this week, who had a tummy ache yesterday ......  I realized, after the first year of betting ( this is year two )  I now have favorites too!!  And here they are:

That guy that drives the the Crown Royal Car - 'cause I really like the royal look of purple and gold together (and if I pick him I have to have a Crown Royal Manhattan just as the race starts, and if, with 5 laps left he's in the top 5 I must have another to boost him along!)  On a good day I remember is name - Matt Kenseth.  Ya know what? -  I'd like to see him win a race and then grab a Crown bottle and take a swig - ditch the gatorade, coke,  or whatever is they drink

Juan Puablo Montoya - Just kidding, his not one of my drivers but I like to call him - Wan probly mo' toilet.  Sorry, Juan this is not directed at your personally, should we ever meet I would proably have to give you a new name, like Juanna race?  Juan me to teach you how to drive?....

Then there's A. J. Allmendinger  - okay but ya gotta say it loud with a crappy english accent and put a super huge ahhhhhhh at the end -   Allmendingaaahhhhhhh!  Again, just like to say the name!

Can you imagine having the last name Biffle.  What's that?  Say it really quick, three times.  HAHAHAHAHA

When I feel a chocolate craving - I pick the M & M car

But I never, never, never pick the Extenze car - that ain't right.

Then there are the serious reason I pick certain drivers or cars......

I always like to pick the Budweiser car the week of Jason's birthday.  Although, Jason always drove with the Bud in the car - some emtpy, some full!!  If you know Jason you would be smiling right now!!  and if you don't - Smile Anyway!

And Tony Stewart -  Jeff and I celebrated our 19th anniversary with Tony.  We (Jeff and I, just saying) went to Louden for the race - slept in the back of the car in the camper parking lot, pee'd in the dirt behind various campers and partyed ( is that even a word! or is it partied?) at a place call "Animal Hill".  So glad I've grown up (stop your laughing!!)  Anyway, while Jeff watched Tony and the boys run around in circles, I quietly napped, (I can sleep thru anything) until Tony crossed the finish line ahead of the gang.

So, as you can see I know nothin' bout engines, tires, oil, gas....... but I do know that every week  I donate a dollar to somebody else's race fund, and someday I know they will all be coming to me to ask me "Who do you think is gonna win next week?"  Cause someday, my way, will work!  and someday there will be a car with Pinto Grigio on the side, and someday I will drive... never mind!

Oh yeah, and Sprint Girls??? Really Sprint can't you come up with anything better than that!?!?!?!

What about .... Valentine's Day

Did you remember Valentine's Day???  So did I.  I woke up yesterday morning and wished Jeff a Happy Valentine's Day to which he returned with his usual Happy Valentine's Day, Sexy (do I sometimes share too much??)  Why is it sometimes we celebrate this day and sometimes we don't?  Last night was one of those nights where we got home from work (mind you, Jeff was running late - he's still working his tractor, cooked dinner and then the highlight of the night - The Bachelor.  We get such a kick out of this show.   One guy, 15 women, one guy, 12 women until it's one guy, two woman (I like the Bachelorette better - ONE WOMAN 15 GUYS!) and the ulitmate show The Grand Finale Show where he picks just one woman and asks her to marry him and then the fairy tale really begins.

Anyway, back to Valentine's -

Jeff to Pam on Sunday  "What are we going to do for Valentine's Day"

Pam to Jeff on Sunday  " Doesn't matter dear, I have you so everyday is Valentine's Day"

So, what is it about Valentine's Day - one day a year when we are sure to tell the special someone in our lives how much we love them.  Shouldn't every day be Valentine's Day?

What about.......drooling - that's right you heard me!

Okay, a quick show of hands of all you people out there that fall into a deep, deep sleep and wake up wondering who snuck in and put slime all over your pillow and face.

Go ahead put your hand up, no one's looking..........

See I knew you were out there.

You are my people!

I was always a drooler growing up.  Which would indicate to you that I am now grown up - which is acutally so not true.  But I do look forward to a good drool.

Remember being a kid and waking up ---- forget that I got a much better story (a real and true story,  but the names have been changed to protect the slobbering)

Just the other day (again time has been changed to proctect the........you get it, right?) Jeff and I went on vacation with another couple and they're children.  This is when I found out drooling was not a disease or character flaw.  After a week of travel and chasing 5 teenage and semi teenage young ones, I was exhausted.  Jeff and some of the others decided they were going for a walk on the beach.  I decided that being in a hotel with a pool, tiki hut- which of course, sold liquid beverages that would be delivered directly to my lounge chair in the sun, that I was staying right there.  And, I was not alone in my decision to relax by the pool.  I had relax by the pool type of friends.    After a little poolside chatter the next thing I know I'm waking up wiping the drool from my chin, cheek and chair, while looking to see who was witnessing this horror.  Then I realized I didn't really care - I knew almost no one.  Except that is for the two other bathing beauties next to me, who, as I looked over were sound asleep.  Once I had put myself back together - adjusted myself nicely back into the lounge chair I looked over only to see bathing beauty # 1 ( shouldn't we now refer to her as Droolcilla)  gasping for air, while wiping chin, cheek and chair.  Then our eyes met -  all I could do was laugh.  I was not alone in droolville! I had friends!  Once I explained that my laughter was not about Droolcilla but about the fact that I had just done the same thing, we both looked over a bathing beauty #3, Salvating Sally, who was, that's right you guessed it....salvating, chin, cheek and chair.

Relax by the pool, wake up with drool...sorry couldn't help it, afterall they do rhyme!
So what is it about drooling that only appears in the deepest sleep?  What causes a person to drool in their sleep and wake up foggy, but then feel so rested? And why, at 49, do I miss drooling.  I dream of a good night sleep, a walk to droolville followed by a stroll thru a foggy wake up.   I want to drool again!!

So to all my my 40 ish friends I wish nothing but the best drool for you!
